How to Engage with Us?

  • Pray with us for God to transform our church to more effectively reach younger generations from both here in our local neighborhood, elsewhere in the city of Erie and Erie County, and from abroad with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
  • Join with us as we seek to honor the Risen Lord by welcoming peoples from every nation, language, and tongue in the name of Jesus Christ, especially by helping them with ESL (“English as a second language”) and serving multi-generational family needs.

Our Passion

Our passion is to know Jesus Christ and exalt Him as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King, and to fulfill the Great Commission by evangelizing and discipling throughout the Erie area, incorporating people from  all nations into a Christ-centered, Bible believing, Bible teaching congregation, and to support missions around the world.

What is the Alliance?

Where We Are, Who We Are, and Who We Believe God Wants Us to Become

Many factors have led to the population of the city of Erie decreasing by some 45,700 people from a high of 138,440 in 1960. Yet Erie remains a city of unique and diverse opportunities, especially when it comes to reaching a multi-ethnic and international community with the Good News of Jesus Christ. For example, Erie’s Asian population more than doubled between 2010 and 2020. During this same time, the number of people from multi-racial backgrounds increased 172%. Immigrants from countries such as Afghanistan, Syria, and Ukraine continue to arrive in large numbers.

The Christian and Missionary Alliance is an alliance of evangelical believers, joined together in local churches, committed to fulfilling the Great Commission given by our Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:19 and 20 instruct us, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you” (NIV).

We are Christian because we believe and follow Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We are missionary because we are committed to reach lost people with the good news of Jesus Christ.

Our Mission statement reads, “The Christian and Missionary Alliance is committed to world missions stressing the fullness of Christ and preaching the gospel to the end of the earth.”

Since our beginning in 1887 the Alliance has grown to 2,100 churches in the United States and Canada. We have ministries in 54 countries around the world.

Our small core of committed workers serve together to worship God, to build up our local church body,  and to share the love of Christ in practical ways with those who live around us, especially with Erie’s growing immigrant community, children, and senior citizens. Come join us!
