STATEMENT ON ABORTION

Grandview Alliance Church believes that abortion on demand is morally wrong.

 Grandview Alliance Church believes that life begins at conception and that this life is to be considered as human and viable at that time. (Psalm 139: 13-17)

 Grandview Alliance Church believes that the Word of God teaches that each individual is known by God before the foundation of the world. (Jeremiah 1: 4-5)

 Grandview Alliance Church believes that our omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent God has pronounced His blessing upon the life of a child. (Psalm 127: 3-5)

 Grandview Alliance Church believes that since all life exists for God’s purposes and all human lives are equally sacred, that the unborn life of the child must be preserved and nurtured.

 Grandview Alliance Church believes that although abortion is wrong, we are called to minister to those who are facing an unwanted pregnancy and to proclaim the truth to those who have had an abortion that God’s forgiveness and cleansing is available.   (I John 1:9)

Grandview Alliance Church believes that it is our obligation to encourage adoption rather than abortion as the answer to an unwanted pregnancy.
