Do not forsake your friend and the friend of your father, and do not go to your brother's house when disaster strikes you- better a neighbor nearby than a brother far away. Proverbs 27:10

We are your neighbor! We are here for the community.

Fruits of the Spirit

What Are We Doing?

There are some exciting things happening at Grandview Alliace Church. Grandview Alliance Church and Shares of God's Love, a local Christian non-profit, are teaming up to help the needy in our city. Grandview Alliance will be the home of a new community garden which will help grow fresh produce for the Emmaus Ministries. Emmaus serves over 600 families who are desperate for the most basic needs; especially nutritious food! Recognizing that our community has such a great need, Grandview Alliance Church and Shares of God's Love are reaching out to touch the lives of needy people and to see Christ's love poured out to those in our community. We've called this effort Fruits of the Spirit, as we are praying that through the "fruits" we grow, the Spirit of the Lord will be spread to desperate hearts in our city.

How Can I Help?

There are three ways to help Fruits of the Spirit to become a successful ministry. First volunteering. We need volunteers to help plant, tend, transport and harvest the produce from our community garden. You don't need to be a gardening expert, just have an open heart. Willing volunteers can contact Doug Buettner at (814) 218-6338. Second is donation. 100% of our donations are poured into our community garden. Donations help us purchase fertilizer, garden tools, young vegetable plants, and irrigation supplies. Checks may be made payable to Shares of God's Love. Please write Fruits of the Spirit on the memo line. Third, but not least, is prayer. Pray that the Lord works in us and through us as we continue His mission on earth. Pray for our volunteers and pray for those we seek to serve. God must be at the center of everything we are doing.
